The First Absence
Tomorrow I'm headed off to the Strategizing for Success in Science Conference in Ontario. It is about an hour or so up the 10 Fwy, and the conference is from 8-3, you know what that means...substitute time!! Today I put the fear of God in my students by waiving the discipline referal slips in their faces. I am hoping that all goes well tomorrow, but who knows! Those students vary from day to day. Suprisingly when I announced my absence there weren't many "YEAHS!" I guess that is a good thing.... One of my favorite students actually said, "Ms. Forgacs, if you aren't going to be here tomorrow, then I'm not coming to school!" I felt loved! I'll be sure to report the damage on Wednesday evening!

Glad to see you're back! I'm sure your students will miss you as we missed your blogs and miss you from afar! Having a sub for me mostly meant more work preparing than it was worth! Enjoy your day away.
Here's another teacher (Aunt Pam's pal Joyce)lending support to the concept that preparing for a substitute is too much work before and after you're out. I had a sub two days in a row last week, and I have two things missing upon my return.
