Spring Break

I'm finally going on Spring Break! This year will be the first year that Melissa gets to experience an official spring break extravaganza. In high school I was never allowed to go "unsupervised" with friends, in college I was too busy and poor, so now is the perfect time! I will be heading to Rosarito, Mexico with my friends Amy, Lisa, Kristin, and Paula. We are staying in a Condo on the beach for six days and five nights and it is only costing $170 for the whole week! We can drive there so we can save money by not flying. Gotta love the cheap prices in Mexico!

MT's vist to PS

Matt arrived late on a Thursday night in Ontario. This meant that I had to drive an hour to pick him up at 11pm and another hour back to Palm Springs...needless to say I was VERY tired on Friday. For the company of my lovely brother though, I did not mind. Friday while I was at school he amused himself around the Palm Springs area by my apartment- essentially anywhere that was in walking distance. We then met some of my friends at the Beer Hunter (restaurant/bar in Cat City) and went to Rancho Mirage to see Reno 911 the movie...it was kind of a let down, but we made the most of it. This was followed by a game night at my apartment with friends.

Saturday we went downtown Palm Springs and then of course had to go bargain shopping 'MT style' at the Goodwill and Salvation Army. Surprisingly the Goodwill in Cat City is a happening place. I think we had to wait in line for about 30minutes! My friend Amy hosted a bbq at her place that night so naturally we attended.

Sunday was a lazy day but we managed to make it to my yearbook editor meeting at Starbucks and dinner at Bill and Alan's. I think that Matt really enjoyed meeting them and their 3 adorable children. Not to mention we had a roast of lamb...Matt and I were in heaven with such delicious red meat!

Monday was his day to see school...I do believe it was a bit shocking to see how 'low' some of my students are. It was nice though because we started the bridge building which was a least somewhat interesting for Matt to see. Then we went up to the tram after school. That is where we took the picture that is above. I know with our attire it looks like MI maybe...but it is indeed Palm Springs!

We finished off his last day by going up 74 for the view and eating at my new favorite restaurant Lotzza Motzza with my roomie John. The next was early driving to Ontario at 4am, but a good time was had by all...I think he'll be back this summer:)
