Running out of Time

Time flies. Time waits for no man. Time heals all wounds. All any of us want is more time. Time to stand up, time to grow up, time to let go, time... I believe I need more time to work in my classroom, more time to lesson plan, more time to get ready.

I mentioned yesterday the lack of motivation/inspiration, well it has gotten entirely worse today. At one point I found myself actually sitting, staring aimlessly at my classroom with no ideas and just wishing the room would decorate itself. I'm running out of days, and I'm wasting the ones I have. I keep telling myself that tomorrow will be better, but this is beginning to be a viscious cycle of nothingness.

Coming to a Close

So I've been getting a lot of pressure to write a blog, (yes I know it has been a while) I guess there is no time like the present though... Since summer is coming to a close, I feel it necessary to reflect on what a great summer it indeed has been. I mean really everyday here in Palm Springs feels like summer, but in fact the "vacation" ambiance of summer is fading quckily. I've begun working in my classroom again, going to trainings, and planning galore. I've hit sort of a road block this year with my room decorations, I know it sounds dumb but I'm used to being pretty creative and having virtually no problems in this department whatsoever. I think that this is coming from a lack of motivation or excitment for the year to begin. I'm hoping that the feeling will pass and the clouds will part and a great idea will just fall into my lap...maybe I should keep dreaming for that one! In the meantime I suppose I will just reminisce about my summer and pretend that it really isn't over just yet...
