New Address

I have officially moved into my new house that I OWN! It has been a crazy month, but I finally live at 68325 Risueno Rd. in Cathedral City, CA. I honestly can't believe that I've made it through the last month alive! We ended up closing on the house a week later due to our Escrow Company. This set back the move in process a lot. I've spent the past three weekends tearing up carpet, painting, sanding, and lots more! Scott has had us on a tight schedule to get things done in a timely fashion. My friend Joe and his boyfriend Pat have been helping us do lots of things to fix up the house and Rich has been a huge help as well.

My dad was out two weekends ago. He turned 50 on the 24th of May and Martha flew him out to visit for four days for his birthday. It was great for him to meet my friends and actually have time to see things. When he moved me out here, he spent all his time helping me get settled and there was no time to sight-see. Saturday night our family from Torrence came out and we visited and went to dinner. Sunday Rich took us up to Idylwild which is up in the mountains, and we went on a strenuous hike that lead to a beautiful view. Bill and Alan had us over for dinner and then Monday we went up to the tram and did some hiking up there. It was perfect weather and we had a great time. Tuesday my dad had an eye opening experience at school with me. He was very helpful with our light and color lab, and offered some perspective on color blindness as well!

This past weekend Rich helped me move my clothes and shoes into my house...which was a job and a half! I had a mover who works for my school district help me do the actual furniture. It felt very strange to be leaving my apartment with John. He has been such a great roommate. I am very excited though to live in my house with Scott, since I spend most of my time with him anyway!
As for the pictures I'm posting....keep in mind this was a forclosure, and it is still a work in progress...Once our floors are done I'll post more. Furniture came this week though so I had to post these. I'll post my room pics once it is more put together:)
